Having a physical disability should not prevent you from leading a full and active life where you are involved in your local community.
Disability home support is often jointly funded between HSE, other Not for Profit Organisations and the Client or their family. Disability home care is often one part of a range of services that the Client may avail of, these may include day care, rehabilitation and physiotherapy services or residential respite care.
Our comprehensive individual home care needs assessment is carried out to understand the person’s abilities, difficulties, medical conditions, allergies, likes and dislikes and wishes and goals. This information and risk assessments form the foundation of our person-centred support plan.
We can provide care and support to:
- Manage your responsibilities – go to work and keep on top of day-to-day living tasks
- Keep connected – meet friends and family, go to school, college or work, pursue a favourite hobby
- Keep fit and healthy – attend medical appointments, eat well or go to a fitness centre
- Stay independent – take a trip to town to do the shopping and pay bills
- Maintain your daily routine – get up and go to bed
- Keep your home clean and tidy – help with domestic chores like washing and ironing
Our support can range from once or twice a week or providing 24 hour home care.
Our care assistants have practical experience of meeting a wide range of complex care and support needs.
